Course names that have the "L" behind courses indicate that the course is Locally Developed.
Locally Developed Courses are offered through high schools to meet the interest and aptitudes of their student body.
Each year, these courses are authorized by Ministry of Education, but are developed by individual school boards. These courses must adhere to a strict set of guidelines and have no curriculum overlap with existing high school courses.
