What is a link?
A link can be any text or image that you can click on that takes you to another page or file on the internet

Note: notice how the cursor turns from to when you hover over the link? The pointed hand icon indicates that the text or image is clickable and may lead you to another page or file.
Opening a link in Microsoft Word
To open a link in Microsoft Word, hold the CTRL key and click the link
The CTRL key can be found on the bottom left and bottom right of your keyboard
Opening a link in a PDF
1. Click on the link
2. A pop-up window should appear asking if you trust the link. Click "Allow" to view the link
Opening a link on an internet site
Simply left click on any text or image that is clickable to view the link
Opening a link in Moodle
Simply left click on any text or image that is clickable to view the link
Note: a text link will change color if it's clickable in Moodle
What to do if a link is broken on Moodle or in DLC material.
1. Copy and paste the URL (text link ex. https://www.sunwestdlc.ca/) into the navigation bar (address bar).
2. Email your instructor so they are aware of the link and can repair it.
